'The Mirrored Shower' are a Somerset based band, headed by Singer/Songwriter Ian Uren. The CD 'Have You Seen This Man' is a compilation of different original songs spanning ten years. It was produced by the wizzard Matt Johnson who now writes and plays keyboards for Jamiroquai. He also played keyboards, bass and an array of sampled instruments on this debut album. Guitar virtuoso Jim Lovell of 'The Lemon Grove' played on many of the tracks. It also includes Dave Lambert and Richard Wozejenski of 'The Huckleberrys' and Rob Palmer of many local acts. The influences are the songwriting greats such as 'Steely Dan', 'Peter Gabriel', 'Neil Finn' of 'Crowded House' to name a few. There are no gigs planned as yet but Ian is currently busking in many towns and cities throughout the south along with guitar partner Jon Goodwin. Watch out for them, they are called 'The Jongleurs' (French medieval term meaning entertainers). Ian is also in the middle of recording new material with fellow 'Mirrored Shower' partner, Jim Lovell at his home studio in Tuckton. The album will be called 'Reflections' And is a retrospective view of the many changes one goes through in life from birth, marriage and the loss of loved ones along the way. It has taken five years so far to make and is due for completion later on this year 2005. I will keep you updated on it's progress. You can buy 'Have You Seen This Man' on Peoplesound.com or fresh from the street if you happen to bump into 'The Jongleurs'.
