Lead singer and songwriter Anthony Gold delivers an intoxicating performance; whisky velvet vocals and thought provoking lyrics are bound by stunning instinctive melodies, driving beats and rip roaring guitar, from guitarist/songwriter Michael John Gazzard. Already tipped to headline next years festivals, Songmaker Group managers’, Craig Powell and Emma Lowe’s, latest gem ‘The Nites’ are a rare and amazing talent with a refreshing and personal take on classic rock set to keep a new generation of fires burning for decades to come. About The Nites Anthony Gold, lead singer of ‘The Nites’, from being a toddler had always loved music, whilst his growing admiration of rock geniuses including Bon Jovi, Led Zepplin, Queen and The Beatles had transformed itself into the will to write and perform music of his own. Once given a guitar for his birthday by his father, there was no stopping Gold, the music came as did his development of his vocal abilities. At 15, his close friend, his uncle, died leaving Gold devastated and having tried in vain to numb the pain through alcohol instead found the cure in his musical talents. It didn’t take long before Gold found the second band member Michael Gazzard and between them began the journey which now sees them performing live at a range of venues across the UK, about to release their first single and also the release of their debut album due out in March 2008. Michael Gazzard, lead guitarist of ‘The Nites’ whilst already talented in academics and sport, particularly football, had also held a passion for music from a very early age. A strong and supportive family network had equipped Gazzard to pursue his dream of mastering the guitar and following the terrible loss of his father when he was just 14 lead him to build on this passion for music. A chance meeting with Gold and the subsequent development of ‘The Nites’ was the obvious progression. About The Songmaker Group Craig Powell, CEO and Executive Producer, son of the 60’s music legend Keith Powell, has been steeped in the music business from a very young age. Following almost two years of developing ‘The Nites’, the band is now ready to present to the mass with the release of their debut album “Waiting for the Light Side”. Emma Lowe, Director of Songmaker Group, daughter of Sir Frank Lowe and Film Producer Jeanna Polley, has been a pillar stone in the development of ‘The Nites’. Having worked in the film industry for over 10 years and producing her own music videos for major record labels such as Telstar and BMG, Lowe has also worked with Simon Cowell at his company Simco producing the first Il Divo video. This powerful management duo are the driving force behind ‘The Nites’, tipped to become the next big thing in the world of popular music.
