H.E.D (Heavy Ear Damage) are an original three piece rock band from Ashington, Northumberland. Formed in 2004 from the remains of a larger band earning themselves a high reputation locally for quality, original tunes and tight, dynamic performances. 2004 brought the release of their first home produced, self financed album Super Heavy Users. This was followed in 2006 by the second album New Hands for Feet; both of these have just been released on I-Tunes in association with Northumbrian based Chevstar Records. They finished recording their third studio album Numbers in mid 2007 and are now working on the fourth album which they're hoping to get released - the boys just can’t seem to get enough of this stuff recorded! They’ve mostly played around the North East… occasionally a bit further… at the usual pubs, clubs, concert halls, biker rallies, Battle of the Bands and outdoor festivals. Their songs tend to be quite eclectic drawing from influences as diverse as ELO, Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, ACDC, Muse and Kaiser Chiefs. The boys have had some success locally, and have made enough money from gigs to record and produce three albums which been played on local radio. In 2008 they hope to play to wider audiences and to get some broader radio play. Get in touch if you want to book us or would like to sample a demo.
