After appearing on ITV's "Stars in their eyes" show a few years ago, lead singer George Payas formed a now nationally recognized Bon Jovi tribute band. After six years on the road, needing some time out from the constant touring, George left the band, and now after a year's break he's back with his new band BON JOVIE.
BON JOVIE have a wealth of experience as performers. They have performed on the same stage as several well known chart topping bands, they have plied their trade as far and wide as the USA, Germany, Cyprus, the middle east, and have several TV and radio appearances under their belt.
A different angle, a much more tongue in cheek set with truck loads of humour, a band that is only interested in performing Bon Jovi songs and having a good time on stage with their audience, rather than a band who regards the venue and audience as a pay cheque.
Three of the BON JOVIE band members, including lead singer George Payas, appeared on a USA album paying tribute to New Jersey artists. The album which was called "Garden state of mind" featured the guys performing a well known Bon Jovi track. The performance prompted US producer Nick Clemente to comment "a note for note take on Bon Jovi's anthemic Livin' on a Prayer."
Bon Jovie are not interested in being the best or calling themselves "the No 1 Bon Jovi tribute"......the only agenda that Bon Jovie have is to have as much fun on stage as possible and to make sure that their audience do the same and leave the venue wanting to tell their friends about the gig!
BON JOVIE are:
George Payas (lead vocals) Geoff Lea (lead guitar) Tony Clark (bass guitar) Ian Bigg (keyboards) James "mouse" Wright(drums)
