Finger Monster formed in October 2004 after merry punksters K.Kats.B were blown to smithereens with the departure of their bass player and second vocalist to different corners of the globe. The nucleus of the band - brothers Chris & Davey Boon and Martin Revelle - found salvation in the unlikely shape of Adam Gaterell, a novice bassist who had supported K.Kats.B as vocalist in his previous band 5 Feet Deep.
Ten months of intensive rehearsal followed before Finger Monster unleashed their carefully honed set on the paying public, with July gigs at Ryde Theatre and Ventnor Winter Gardens setting the tone for future live outings (including London's Make Music festival and a support slot with Senser) - forty minutes of immaculate mayhem and a crowd full of Finger Monster converts.
Not convinced? Check out what BBC Radio 1FM's Rob da Bank had to say: "100% tight, great stage presence and very good songwriting. Finger Monster have a quality that can stand up on any stage and make people listen."
